fps 300 - Timed transfer system
Introduction
The flexible positioning system (fps) delivers maximum benefits wherever several processing positions have to be reached in each station with high precision and speed. The system is based on individually motorized transfer units that move the pallets to the processing positions using toothed belts. The transport units are arranged in a grid of 300 mm and allow positioning at the individual stations without interfering with the movement of the adjacent pallets. Any number of processing positions can be selected for each station.
All pallets are transferred to the next transport units synchronously.
After the end product is removed, the pallet is lowered, returned in a free-floating operation to the initial point, and then raised to the processing position again so it is ready for a new cycle.
With the dynamic servo drive from Komax Systems, the customer can achieve cycle times usually only attainable with cam-driven systems.
